Lancaster City Fire Foundation Day

The Lancaster City Fire Foundation will host its second annual Lancaster Fire Foundation Day on Saturday, September 26 2009.  The event will take place in the 100 Block of North Queen Street in Lancaster from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.


This special event will feature educational and informational demonstrations by Lancaster City Firefighters, including:
•    Public display of Truck 2, the Fire Bureau’s newest and most high tech firefighting apparatus
•    A rappelling demonstration
•    A motor vehicle crash simulation, including victim rescue demonstration
•    A demonstration on the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) by personnel from the Lancaster Emergency Medical Services Association. 
•    Information about the dangers of cooking fires, and demonstrations on how to safely extinguish a cooking fire.
•    A chance to meet and interact with Lancaster City’s bravest.

The Lancaster City Fire Foundation is also happy to partner with 9 local businesses, which will offer special discounts to visitors of the event. 
A collection of 6 antique fire apparatus will be on display, and attendees will be able to become members of the Lancaster Fire Foundation.
